Often when Landseekers (and Landholders too) are planning how to set up a beef and/or sheep enterprise, it can be hard to know where to start and what to include.
We’ve set up this template, which contains the key elements that a Landholder would typically like to understand well in order to consider a proposal with a well-informed foundation.
What this resource is
It is a proposal template, in the form of a Google spreadsheet.
We have used different versions of similar proposal templates in our Land Matching processes. It serves as a guiding resource as to what to typically include in a concrete proposal, when arriving at the proposal stage in an Abunda Land Matching process.
How to use this resource
Use this resource as a way to play around with the details of your intended farm enterprise operation/system, and automatically get some useful numbers and totals out on the farm economics.
Note that the template is set up to represent an ANNUAL Profit & Loss calculation, based on a “Steady state”, as in when you have established your farming system. Usually this would equate to year 2 or 3.
Getting the Template:
Go to the link below (Google Sheets template) and follow the instructions.
- You can access the template as “view only”.
- In order to edit, you will need to “Make a copy” or “Download” the file under the menu item “File”.
